Lets start!

Monday the 12th of October will start the season!! You’re all invited to come to our swimming pool, Canottieri Milano, at the address Alzaia Naviglio Grande 160.

Waterpolo and Swimming sessions will be hold together. The meeting is in front of Leoni (via sarfatti 25) at the University at 21.00, very much earlier than usual in order to go altogether by bus. For those ones going directly to the swimming pool, the training session will start at 22.00 and end at 23.00. It’s easy to reach the pool by tram (starting from Bocconi Uni., 6 stops of tram line 9 and then 7 stops of tram line 2; or otherwise bus 90 and then tram, anyway we’ll show you on monday).

As you can see, in order to avoid overcrowding during the first weeks we will have 2 common training and one exclusive one for each sport.

Swimming

Chance to take free swimming or competitive level; no need to communicate it before and you’re free to change during the year. For competitors, possibility to participate to amatorial competitions or international tournaments (for example Fridericiana Sprintnacht in Germany, the 27th of November).

A coach (this year it’s the first time!) will follow the competitive swimmers and train them.

Waterpolo

Unluckily foreigners, given italian waterpolo rules, can participate just to amatorial tournaments. We’ll participate, with regard to this, to Trofeo di Rho, which is a season-lasting tournament very involving. We have a coach dedicated to our team and three training sessions a week (see below).

Swimming pool

Both waterpolo and swimming teams will train in the same swimming pool Canottieri Milano, at the address Alzaia Naviglio Grande 146. It’s very near from the Uni, roughly 15 minutes with the bus (90, 19 or underground Linea 2 Porta Genova). It’ 50 meters long, so that half of it will be dedicated to the swimming team and the other to waterpolo.

Registrations

2 sessions:

1st October – 31th October 2009

1st January – 28th of February 2010 (just for Erasmus students)

We’ll have a trial week, completely free, then you’ll have to register mainly because of needs of insurance.

About health certificate: free medical visit on Monday and Wednesday 18.30-19.30 Centro Sportivo Giuriati, via pascal 6 (next to Politecnico). I suggest you to get there a little bit earlier because many students would attend the visit with a high risk of queue.
